Meet with China's IT Industry Executives Face-to-Face and Help the Asian Tsunami Relief Effort

Thank you Red Hat Inc. for sponsoring the Face-to-Face with China IT Executive event on 1/13/05.  We were able to raise $560 from event registration, which was donated to the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund in the name of Red Hat Inc.  Our company, AsiaBizCo, also did a matching donation of $560 to bring the total donation amount to $1,120.

Thank you to everyone who registered and came to the evening event. You made the donation possible and the event a success .

On the evening of Jan. 13th, at the Red Hat Inc. facility in Mountain View, CA, the delegation met with local Silicon Valley executive, exchanged name cards, and had many one-on-one meetings with discussions of potential business partnerships. The program started with the following presentations:

• Overview of IT market in China- by Mr. Xianmin Xi, Senior Commercial Specialist, Commercial Service, US Embassy Beijing

• Brief view of China's Consumer Electronics Market - Mr. Alden Chang, Partner of CCID Advisory, Beijing China

• The legal environment of doing business in China- John Jiang, Partner EastBright Law Firm, Beijing, China

The delegation also visited International Business Incubator (IBI) in San Jose on Jan. 14th, and met the IBI staff. led by Ms. Kim Fisher. With great interest, the China executives learned how IBI can help them with their US entry.

Many members of the delegation were looking for new and innovative products and business collaboration opportunities with US partners. Here is a list of the companies represented.
